Concept
The design transforms the Nanjing Qingliang Hill Reservoir site into a Ruins Park, blending historical respect with sustainability. By reorganizing the terrain, it links historical remnants to the underground reservoir, converting a once damp space into a cultural hub for exhibitions and public use, marking it as an iconic landmark. The structure extends from the Chongzheng Academy, integrating terraced landscapes and additional amenities like a café and exhibition areas. Sustainable features, such as a rooftop pool and climate corridors, repurpose the environment into a well-lit, comfortable space that reflects the reservoir's history while catering to modern needs. This approach marries the site's profound past with sustainable innovation, offering a unique historical and contemporary experience.
