Mixed-used building

Howald, Hesperange, Luxembourg

Firm
STATUS
Under Construction
SIZE
5000 sqft - 10,000 sqft
BUDGET
$10M - 50M
The building consists of a glazed base and can accommodate functions such as offices, shops and restaurants. Above this base unfolds a terrace accessible and usable as a hanging garden by the inhabitants.

On either side of the base are two volumes facing each other. One houses office space and participates in the animation of the street. The other has apartments facing south-west and set back from the street.

Gradually rising in the floors, the volumes are set back, creating roof terraces and green roofs made available to the inhabitants.

The entire project is studied from a perspective of energy optimization and environmental respect, for example by promoting the use of bio-sourced materials. Also, in application of the circular economy principle, the dismantling of the building is sought.
