Allies and Morrison is an architecture and urban planning practice based in London and Cambridge. The work of the practice ranges from architecture, interior design and conservation to masterplanning, consultation and research. Twice shortlisted for the Stirling prize, 39 of its completed projects have won RIBA awards. In 2015, Allies and Morrison was awarded AJ120 Practice of the Year.
The practice operates from its own studios in 85-93 Southwark Street in Bankside, London and thrives on a warm and relaxed internal atmosphere, good communication and opportunities for the exchange of ideas.
Three floors of design studio spaces are connected by a triple-height atrium and complemented by meeting, printing and modelmaking facilities. The versatile ground floor space is used for informal meetings and to display drawings and models. It is also a venue for lectures, exhibitions, film screenings and musical concerts. The Table Café, run by the practice, faces Southwark Street and opens onto a terrace at the rear.
